Principal's MessageI am honored to be the principal at such a fantastic school where “everyday is an opportunity and every child is a learner!” We are a community of learners including teachers, parents, students and support staff. I believe in upholding high standards with an absolute commitment to understanding and improving the educational process, using team strategies, working directly with and involving both the community and family, while centering on student success. We are a school of approximately 624 students and we have a rigorous standards based curriculum focused on meeting the needs of every student. I look forward to working with you as we create a school where staff is valued, parents are welcome and students are engaged and excited about learning. We are supported a great deal by our parent community. Parents volunteer in classrooms, in the cafeteria, and on the playground. Our Eldridge School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) holds fundraisers every year to support the education and extracurricular activities of our students. Our school is committed to meeting every child's needs. We have resources for students who are having difficulty with school. Mrs. Canterberry also offers singing and drama lessons to students in the intermediate grades. Academics are only one facet of our children’s development. We are committed to helping all children achieve not only academic success but also becoming productive and responsible members of the community by creating a learning environment that fosters the social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth of students. EldridgeSchoolis a wonderful place that addresses the needs of the whole child through classroom teachers who create an environment where every student is honored for their unique contributions and through various activities that give students the opportunity to expand their learning. My door is always open and I welcome your comments, suggestions and ideas. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or ideas about how to make the website work better for you. Thank you for supporting our school! Kindest regards, Michelle Pérez |
